Welcome to Crux Publishing
Crux Publishing is a boutique digital publisher that produces, distributes and markets a curated selection of high-quality, non-fiction (and, very occasionally, fiction) titles. Our key expertise is working with individual authors to create and execute a unique marketing plan that drives sales.
We believe that a digital-first approach to publishing (i.e. publishing ebooks) is the future for new and emerging authors, with printed copies offered on-demand or as special editions. Eliminating many of the traditional publishing costs such as printing, storage, distribution and retail allows us to offer industry-beating royalties of up to 50% of net sales revenue.
We not only offer authors a platform to showcase their talents but also allow them to reach a growing market of readers who like to read books on their ebook reading devices such as Kindles, iPads, Kobos and Nooks. We operate an open-submissions policy to encourage new authors and also digitally republish backlist titles for existing authors.
Traditional publishers are interested in physical books that appeal to the mass market and can safely be sold in high volume through chain stores and supermarkets in order to drive down the unit cost. This narrow approach means that many excellent books are never published or become out of print when publishers turn their attention to new ideas.
Crux Publishing has a "digital-first" approach to publishing and marketing. We believe that this makes more books more widely available to readers and that it rewards authors more fairly for their writing. We also offer paperback editions that are sold through Amazon.
We provide a comprehensive service that includes all aspects of book production and distribution, saving you valuable time and upfront costs. We also have many years of international marketing experience.
We think we are pretty good, but don't take our word for it; listen to what our authors have to say...
